Project 3:

"Space and Sensory"

Task :

To enhance our conceptual narrative skills by creating study models that introduce anthropometrics and ergonomics, apply basic design principles, and consider parameters for practical yet poetic spaces. We also have to explore material selection for sensory experiences.

Task 1

"Ideation of Narrative"

For our first task, we were told to come up with a narrative that could be narrated through space and sensorial experiences. I would then draft out ideas on how I would narrate these emotions into a space.

Task 2

"Draft Models"

To back up our sketch ideas, we were tasked to create a draft model, a visual representation of our narrative, in order to prepare for our interim critique, where we would be advised on our design and intentions.

Tutorial 3

"Interim Critique"

By presenting our models and narrative, we could gain more insight into what to improve and what to adjust. We had to present a draft or an idea of the layouts of our presentation boards to also get insight on it.

Tutorial 4

"Final Model"

After considering the feedback from the interim critique, we moved on to crafting our final model, making sure it aligns with anthropometrics and ergonomics measurements along with our narratives.

"Presentation Boards + Presentation"

After finishing the model, we had to work on creating at least 1 A1 presentation board that would show orthographic, exploded axonometric projections of my final model. We also had to include tattoo stamps and abstract drawings that would show our intended use of the space and how it supports our narratives.

We would then have to present both the model and presentation boards to external panels and gain their insight on our project.
