Reflection
Assignment 1
TGC 4.0 refers to Lifelong Learning. This assignment challenged my knowledge and skills of creating models. It taught me how to create planes and voids through two-dimensional shapes. It's definitely a skill I will refer back to and use in my future degree of Architecture.
Assignment 2
TGC 3.0 refers to Communication Skills. With this assignment being a group project, I had to work on my communication skills to communicate my ideas effectively to my teammates. We also had to communicate productively in order to divide the work equally and efficiently to create the best product we could.
Assignment 3
TGC 2.0 refers to Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills. At first, when this assignment was briefed to me, I didn't understand a single thing that came out of Ms. Dhaniah's mouth. Express emotions through lights and shadows? How??? Overtime, through loads and loads of consultation and critical thinking, I finally understood the true meaning of this project. However by the time I had a fixed plan on what to do, time has been running out. I had to manage my time to finish this project with the best outcome possible.
Overall Reflection
Honestly, after hearing the module's name, this was the module that intrigued me the most. "Spatial Design", this was definitely something I would need to take into consideration to further develop my career in architecture. However, I didn't know what to expect, are we making models? sketches? Full render designs of buildings and lighting? All of the above actually. This module taught me a lot of lifelong skills, starting from what makes a space, a space, how to start designing a space, what to consider when creating a space, etc. Overall, through the endless amounts of sleepless nights completing these projects, I genuinely enjoyed this module, and only this module from this semester specifically. I'll definitely miss the vibes of the classroom, how open everyone is with how they interpret the brief, the creative minds of everyone, and even the funny consultations I get from Ms Dhaniah. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the exhibition, I liked the atmosphere and vibe they put us in, it was the first time I genuinely felt like an architecture student throughout this whole foundation.
